During the BHM annual general meeting which was held in June 2019, Prof Victor Grech presented his new project – A Tale of 2 Cities – proceeds of which will go towards Beating Hearts Malta.
A Tale of Two Cities is a set of photography exhibitions that compares a location in Malta with a location in another country. These photographs attempt to highlight some of the contrasts between and within two areas using photographs created by and edited (post-processing) solely on a Samsung Galaxy S9. Each photograph (1 to 25) is matched between the two cities, with a total of 50 limited edition prints.
The exhibitions will be of:
Manhattan USA – Valletta Malta
Manchester UK – Grand Harbour Malta
The 25 photographs of each location will be printed on 3 mm 70 x 45cm Dibond® composite panels, a three layer sandwich: two aluminum layers with a polyethylene layer in between. This material is exceptionally stable, long-lasting and used for professional photographic exhibitions and printing is with UV Inks.
Each photograph will consist of a limited print run of 50. Each will be signed and numbered by Prof. Victor Grech, and will be accompanied by an individually numbered and signed certificate of authenticity which will be printed on the back.
Each exhibition will eventually be detailed in a coffee table book.

All proceeds will go to Beating Hearts Malta for the purchase of equipment for the Cardiology Department at Mater Dei Hospital.
